All my chickens are in full molt and are not laying eggs. Is it still ok to give oyster shell even when they are not laying? By the way when can I expect them to start giving up those eggs?

They should only consume the shell if their body needs it. And every bird molts at different degree and pace. Could be a couple of weeks to several months.

Thanks for the reply. It seems forever since they given eggs consistently, but I guess when you half naked, growing feathers is a bigger priority.

You can increase their protein intake to help with feather production. When mine molt next year I plan on putting them on "flock raiser" and worm them too since I won't be getting the eggs.
