I only have 10 chicken so it takes a while to go thru a 50lb bag of feed. My first bag of grower/starter was DuMor from TSC and for the next purchase I stopped at a local feed store and grabbed a bag of FRN brand grower feed, I didn't realize until I got home that it was the medicated feed.

I noticed it is darker colored and smells a little different but the chooks seen to love it! Is is fine if I switch back and forth like this?

P.S. The feed from the feed store was also $11 vs $14+ from TSC.

It will not hurt them to switch back and forth between medicated and unmedicated or to switch brands. The thing I would watch is starter versus grower. If they are at least 4 weeks old, the grower will work OK but if I remember right, the recommended age to switch from starter to grower is 6 weeks. It should have less protein, probably 16% for the grower instead of 20% for the starter.
