Ok- what does everyone DO with quail they hatch?

Hen I get and Hatych mine they will be to EAT and get those adorable lil eggs.. I have a few Japanese friends who will hopefully be buying my Quail eggs fro there sushi

Um laugh at their antics and hatch the fertile eggs and make hard boiled bite sized eggs!!!

Most eat them or sell them to people who do eat them. What do you do if you hatch too many chickens or just a bunch of extra roos? Same thing.

No you can't free range quail. Even wing clipped they will wander off if not penned. They do not come back home every night and will just keep going off into the distance until they get eaten by something. Which probably wouldn't take long. Turn a quail loose and you will never see it again.

My dd says my button quail wouldn't even make 1/2 a nugget

Yes, button quail are strictly for cuteness factor, but you can eat their eggs (if you want to bother!). So far with mine, I have kept a great deal of the ones I have hatched. I basically sell the extra males. I was planning on getting quail to eat, but I just can't do it. I would love to try, but I just can't!!
