OK - What kind of duck, is the friendliest>>

Thinking of increasing the bird population in my yard - which, in everyone's opinion, makes for the friendliest and hardiest duck?

Well........ Welsh Harlequins are nice.

I am starting with Mallards, Appleyards and in 6 weeks some runners.

muscovies. and they have the best personalities!!

breed doesnt matter in ducks, it all depends on how much time you baby them and handle them as ducklings. You can imprint them on you with a little effort and have a pet for life, with no hands on care, they'll just be another duck. So it really just boils down to which ones you like the best. Get them and baby the heck out of them, hold them, and interact with them as much as possible and they'll be very tame.

a duck that you hatch will be the friendliest, it will see you as mom. other than that a young duck that you socialize ALOT! depends on the individual duck too!

Ill vote for Muscovy. Mine wasn't imprinted on people but is still very friendly. She acts like a house cat (demands snuggling and petting sometimes but other times doesn't even want to be looked at

) and has never been mean to anyone.
