OK, What the HECK are my chickens doing!?!??!

Never seen this one before:


Are they trying to nest in the dirt? They were kind of stirring it up, rolling around and throwing dirt on themselves and through their feathers.

Any idea what they're doing??

They are "bathing". Chickens take dust baths to reduce oil on feathers, control pests, keep cool. They will do it a lot. This is normal behavior. Enjoy them.
