I had a gallon of paint going to waste and decided to use it.

While I was at it I did some work on the laying box based on some good posts here (added the hynie hider and lowered the perch) . I caulked all of the joints with a painters caulk first. I think it made a big difference.

Oh sure, make me look like a slacker for not painting...yet.

Those laying boxes look cozy as can be. I almost wish I laid eggs!

I was thinking the same thing.... All that work just to have them poop all over it........ reminds me of my full time job.

oh my gosh - it's gorgeous!

and, btw, when they DO poo on your lovely paint job, it will simply wipe clean with plain water. Who gets the last laugh now???

Nicely done!

I'll have to show my mom this...she loves interior decorating. I'm sure she'll think you need to dress up your windows too.

She has 4 daughters with homes she can not resist trying to decorate...wait till I show her what can be done with the coop. ha ha ha!

So in all seriousness...this paint job serves a purpose then, heh? One poster said it would wipe clean. Does it help the wood last longer? I need to laminate my floor...which I see you have done...that would be helpful. Good going.

me,
Gretchen
