Hey so its now come to light i have 2 male courtaix out of mine the latest one is a terror his rough mating and he constantly pecking other male who trys to run and actually hurting them all his trying to square up and peck chickens through the fence his been seperated i know i probs need to cull dont know if i can face it tho 😥😥😥😥

If you can get him to calm down in isolation or even force him to molt by keeping him somewhere dark, he might lose the drive to breed for a while, depending on what season it is where you live. However I prefer not to treat my birds like that, easier to just give them a stress-free life and then bring on the kitchen shears when they start to be a problem. After all culling for temperament really is the most important thing, if you’ve got a more gentle male he should be the father of any chicks you hatch. Maybe you can give him away?

"Hey, so it's now come to light that I have 2 male COTURNIX out of nine[?]. The latest one is a terror—he's rough with mating and he's constantly pecking the other male who tries to run. He's actually hurting them all, he's trying to square up and peck chickens through the fence. He has been separated—I know I probably need to cull him, but don't know if i can face it."

We do need to know how much space you have and how many hens in order to help you.

Coturnix quail roos will usually fight if you have more than one in a pen unless the pen is pretty big and they have a lot of places to hide. If you can't put him in a separate pen with his own harem, you may need to rehome or cull him.
