Okay, Coop Is Finished! Whaddya think? *PICS*

I really like your coop. The run under it is great but I would add more run space so the chickens could be outside not just under the coop with very little light. They will utilize the run under the coop when its raining or hot but adding more run space & maybe another roost outside would really be benefical to your flock. I know it means more work & money. Maybe I should just keep my mouth shut. Again you did a fantastic job.

We have plans for a run behind an adjoining building (see videos on one of my member pages) but we need to re-side that building before installing the run. We also plan to let them free range after they learn to lay eggs in the nesting boxes. We don't want them to learn to like the barn rafters like our other flock did.

Thats good I live on a hundred acres & having a nice big run is great especially when you can't let them out because of predators or bad weather. I've been keeping mine locked until I can be out there with them. I hate it but I don't want to loose them. You really do have a styling coop mine are good but nothing like yours. here's my newest coop its kinda of different its three sided.

We have plans for a run next to the coop maybe later, but we also plan to free range once they start laying in the nesting boxes. We want them to know where home is since we live on a large farm with a number of other buildings nearby. Our last flock found the barn and never went home to the coop. We could never find the eggs and eventually the predators got them all.
Oh, I understand.

And, 7L farms: I like your coop too!! Do you have a floor on it?
