My 5 3 week old girls are really outgrowing their indoor brooder. I’d like to get them in the duck house during the day, back inside at night. (The older ducks will be outside, not in the duck house).

It’s going to be 60 degrees in a few hours. Will they be okay? The duck house is well sheltered and insulated.

As always, thanks!

My little girls turned 3 weeks old on Monday, I have them in the run with the bigger ducks (in a wire dog crate) and it is working out beautifully. They have spent the last 2 nights inside the duck house as well. Everyone seems to be bonding (except for Leonard) and the ducklings have more room. It is somewhat of a hassle moving the crate from the run to inside the duck house but that is temporary and worth it. My duck house is very well insulated plus you add their body heat and they are fine. It got down to 58 degrees last night but inside the duck house was almost 75 degrees and they seem perfectly fine. I use deep bedding in the house and crate for warmth.
