Okay I know I’m crazy but I just got 3 more chicks

I’m glad I’m not the only one. I got 10 12-15week olds from my mom, 2 roosters & 8 layers(I don’t know what breed), then I bought 2 Americanas & 8 golden sex links from tractor supply, then put 22 eggs in the incubator, just hatched 14 of those 3 days ago & have 13 more eggs in another incubator!!

You must have a huge coop!

I know I’m going to have to get rid of some of my roosters. I’m hoping the I can keep one but I’m not sure my neighbors would be ok with it. So I have 17 birds total but I imagine 5 will be going at some point. That’s just a guess

My coop is 8x8 and the run is 400 square feet so I think I’ll be ok with 12. I hope.

My coop right now is 8x16 with a run that’s 8x25. But I have an area about 4500sqft that I turn them loose in. That’s for the 10 big chickens. I’ll be doing an add on when my 4 week old chicks go outside for them & when the new chicks get old enough for outside.
