The BR just huddles over the Jap...Keeping it warm and protected I guess. I think it's really sweet...Makes me wonder if the BR is a she, looks like it by the way her wings are feathering.

I had a hard time finding the chickie, even though I knew what I was looking for. Cute!!

I really like the rubbery shelf liner you are using for the "floor" What a great idea. Its not slippery, would hold a little heat, and it's washable ( although Im sure the poo gets stuck in the little holes).
If I ever have baby chicks again, I might just try that.
