If you get a female cat thats almost 3 years old fixed, will she STILL mark things?

Its not her fault..its mine that shes not fixed. She cant get preggo because all my cats are indoor cats and all but her is fixed. So, if i bring her to be fixed will she stop marking? or is it too late?

EDITED to add: This is the first time shes peed on my bed. But hubbys seen her mark the couch once..so it has to be her because she was just on the bed.

Dogs won't stop marking just b/c you get them neutered...it's a learned behavior at that point...not sure about female cats though....I had one that was spayed as a kitten and STILL marked things...therefore she was an outdoor kitty.

Sometimes it will stop, but sometimes it won't. My cats like to mark their territory by peeing on any dirty clothes they find in the floor anywhere in the house. It's gross, and a good lesson for my DH to pick up his clothes all the time!

Have you ever tried Nature's Miracle? They sell it at Petsmart and TSC. (Cheaper at TSC.) It removes all urine odor and most stains, it has some enzyme in it. It works GREAT. White vinegar also helps if you put it in pee soaked laundry. Cat pee stinks!

That is really frustrating. Nothing worse than a soggy bed! Maybe you can close your bedroom door so the cats can't get in there?

I don't know of any way to stop them from peeing somewhere when they are determined. You know odd cats are.

It's their charm and also their pitfall, lol.
