Lol, it's hard to take photos of them!
I have learned tho that it makes it easier to get down to their level when taking pictures. Then again I also tend to do more photo shoots with those who are calmer and more photogenic, lol!

Personally a good bridge camera has been my best bird photography tool, you can take photos from a ways away and the newer ones make it super easy to transfer photos via wifi. They're not the cheapest thing ever, I paid $100 for my PowerShot and it was basically new, I love it for getting moon photos, family photos, and of course pics of my pets. You don't have to be skilled to use one, but if you develop your photography skills even a little bit they take you pretty far with just a bridge camera.

Did you do some upscaling or something on the second image?
