My action shot (my kid’s a good photographer). No hens were hurt but she did NOT want a bath.

But How the cluck are people able to get such good chicken pictures ! Mine are always blurry or the picture winds up being a picture of fluffy butts ! here some examples of my poor photographyView attachment 4215964View attachment 4215965View attachment 4215966View attachment 4215967

Please tell me I'm not the only one getting blurry pictures.. ! If you have some funny ones, post them here !
Lol, it's hard to take photos of them!
I have learned tho that it makes it easier to get down to their level when taking pictures. Then again I also tend to do more photo shoots with those who are calmer and more photogenic, lol!

Here are some of my favorite funny chicken photos:

I love the second picture!🤩🤩

The last one looks like " I'm not having a good day" "GO and STOP taking pictures of me!"

Personally a good bridge camera has been my best bird photography tool, you can take photos from a ways away and the newer ones make it super easy to transfer photos via wifi. They're not the cheapest thing ever, I paid $100 for my PowerShot and it was basically new, I love it for getting moon photos, family photos, and of course pics of my pets. You don't have to be skilled to use one, but if you develop your photography skills even a little bit they take you pretty far with just a bridge camera.

I don't think I'm much qualified to offer advice, but here's my two cents :). I practiced, a lot (1,000+ pictures of chickens over the last two years, and those are just the ones I haven't deleted)!

My first pictures were like this:

Now they're like this:

I usually get a handful of their absolute favorite treat, sit down on the ground, and spread it out before me. While they eat, I take their picture.

In my experience, you often get the best pictures from getting low, but the quality will depend mostly on the lighting. Morning/evening seem to be the best time to take pictures.

Not enough light

Too much light

Good light (except she was walking away)

Hope this helps :)!
