I have a huge pan of leftover zucchini veggie quiche squares that i was going to toss and then i thought about the girls but i was not sure, being new to this, if cooked eggs like that is a good idea or harmful or what....they are chickens that lay EGGS after all. Is it weird? okay? please give me some input and opinions. Thanks!

So long the eggs are cooked, they are fine for the chicken and very good for thier protein.
so feed them away, and don't worry.

Whenever I have an excess of eggs I scramble some up for my chickens. It seems weird to us humans, but to them it's just another source of protein. In fact, yogurt and hard boiled eggs were my chick's first treats.

Oh yes! My chickens love to eat eggs! As long as you cook them and don't give feed them raw eggs (that could encourage egg eaters

) then it would be just fine.

LOL Well, when I have an overflow of eggs that we cant possibly eat ourselves.....I boil them up and cut 'em up and feed them back to the chickens. They LOOOVE them.

Yeppers I feed them back also and the dried crushed shells too. they love em and it is good for them too. One time I fed back 10 doz scrambled and the shells, I did not have to grain them that day.

Leftover scrambled eggs don't last long around my chickens.
