okay to have 4 hens and 1 rooster?

Hello, I was thinking of getting a rooster, but I only have 4 hens. Is that too little hens? Will they get over mated?

That's how many I keep. They get along very well and are a tight knit bunch. It really depends on how virile your rooster is, and how you define over-mating, but you can expect the girls to be missing some feathers on their backs no matter what.
