I have 4 EEs that are somewhere between 7 and 8 weeks old. The girls are fully feathered and have been ready to go outside for some time. But the little rooling still isn't feathered out. Sort of waiting on him to finish getting in his back and bottom feathers :/ I need the larger indoor brooder for my younger chicks so I was hoping that maybe he could go outside in the tractor? He'd have the 3 pullets to snuggle with at night. Temps at night seem to be 40s - 50s. Daytime should be pretty warm this week. There is no heat source in tractor. Thoughts?

I am one state north of you, It snowed here yesterday and is 70+ today...go figure.
Anyway mine are pushing 4 weeks old, obviously not fully feathered but I put them in their coop today and they'll stay there from now on.
I think they will be fine, they have a good amount of pine flake and they all cuddle together for warmth. Temps will be 53* tonight.

Cool. I moved similar aged chicks out there back on Easter weekend and it was much colder. ..with snow LOL but with straw and flakes and a tarp, they were fine. But they were fully feathered. Glad to have the green light. Chicks are in brooders in my attic. My office space is starting to look like the Great Dust Bowl of 2018 :/
