on chat i keep typing scraps and it comes out scruds! i know it is the swear filter but is there anyway we could fix this?

It is just one of the things with the word filters. At this time it would require removing the offending word from the filter.

We've been having a few small issues with the word filter recently. We'll make sure Nifty sees this thread.

Along these lines, I should report that typing the S word in PM will result in "poop". However if you quote it, it reverts to... well, you know.

Apologies to my BYC buddy who pointed this out to me, but this *is* a family forum and there are certainly kids on the forum who have already figured this out.

Seems the word filters need adjusting.

Remember the same rules in the forum apply to chat. Gettign around the filters with symbols or other means is against the rules.

We read through the chat logs when such is reported and I am taking this as a report.

regardless of the specifics of the word filter- I do believe I had the funniest censorship yet on the thread where we were talking about the weight loss drug, "Alli"...hahahahahahhahaha...picky seepage...

it still cracks me up when i think about it.
