Pictures v slow to download since update

It may just be coincidence, but since the rebuild, pictures have been really slow to download here. We have poor internet connection anyway, and the providers are meddling with that atm too, so that could be the issue rather than byc, but I just wondered if anyone else is finding pictures slower to load now?

We have more Wifi/internet hiccups lately. The complexity of this website makes it harder to enjoy it all the time.

Especially the posts with many photos in just one post are sometimes undoable. And yes, this is happening more often after the rebuild.

IMO It would be better if the photos on the normal threads would go through a resize and heavier compress filter.
Only for the calendar contest and maybe a few other contests its important to upload large good quality photos.
