Yesterday's flooded roads are dry enough to travel today. Our road north is completely washed out before the concrete bridge, though, so the county will have to bring in a few truckloads of earth and some tar before that route will be open. Strange things were left behind by the flood waters. On the pasture side of a barbed wire fence, which was squashed flat by floating tree trunks, is a blue porcelain commode. It's upright, as if someone is planning to build an outhouse around it. A little farther down, but on the opposite side of the road, resting on its broken middle is half of a fishing boat. I'm assuming this is debris from yards or from junk piles in the woods.

My hubby lived in Enterprise in Haskell county when he was a child. His parents grew up there. He attended school in the old Enterprise school house. His grandfather helped build that school. The rest of the family lives in Pittsburg County in Quinton.

My rooster loves my red hair. When they were in the big area while I was getting the garden spots ready they would help me dig (actually just look for bugs) but Oreo would stare at my hair, he couldn't take his eyes off it, and every once in a while he would come over and touch it w/ his head/face.

I would LOVE to have a few goats!!!!! When I was a teen raised by my gparents, we had milk goats. I would have them again in a heartbeat if I didn't live in town.
