I told you that trap will catch anything, including your birds. It is a great trap. Lets wait for night fall to get the owl out and take it somewhere else to let it go. I have debated building a larger trap for hogs,or what ever it can catch, everything seems to be noctournal here and do not want to come play with me during the daylight hours, I think a trap would be appropriate.

LOL Lynn agrees to letting the thing go at night. This thing is huge, well its the only owl ive ever seen this close.

You need to take it at least 10 miles away (Lynn's place in tribbey would be better) or it will be right back. the good and bad part is that the owls are very intelegent and you will not likely catch that bird again.

Kool kathy our hatches shouldn't be far off then , I've been told for some reason the lav are sensitive to humidity , hey don't forget to ad me to your list for some icelandic eggs or direct me to someone I coud get some from to have a diverse flock of them I like the top knots and feathered legs

Tina,
thought I would let you now I going to run a special on started cochins real soon if you are interested we have way tooo many and seemed to hatch mostly pullets.

I dont have a problem with the owl being here, our birds are put up at night so it is no threat here.

About the cochins, will have to get back to you on that I am over run right now and need to build more coops.

Where will you be selling at?? What ages?? and How much will you be asking?? Man this is gonna get tricky, everybody is gonna be having birds for sale at the same time and poops is coming up. Im gonna have to start a chicken savings fund now!

Donnie, kathymo and anyone else.
I know they aren't the same thing at all but what colors might come from crossing a Lavender/ self blue type bird with a blue/black/splash/ variety?

How was the lavender gene introduced into standards?
