Ok all yall hatchery gurus out there, should I try to hatch eggs that I gathered today? When do I candle my eggs after I put them into the incubator, what temp should I shoot for on this sportsman? Do I need to put water in it? Will I need to put some kind of a filter over the vents like a light sponge to catch any fluff or anything from floating out into the house cause I have to set it up inside the living quarters for now!!! Too cold out and no heated outbuildings!!! Lynn

Isn't it funny what cabin fever does to some of us? It makes Sooner cook and bake, it makes Buckguy want to roll around on the ground, and I painted a ceiling that I have been putting off forever and ever. (Plain White, not Sistine Chapel)

...and it makes you hatching freaks want to incubate something!

So glad I wasn't the only one! I was amazed how big some of the drifts were. I went out before we had very much this morning & used an 18gal tote to hold the side of the tarp I put on the cage & you can barely see the top of it.

Me three!!!

I'm hoping someone else will chime in with that information. I only know about silkies.

I want a standard lavender naked neck! I have three hens that I would call self-blue but the roosters have black necks and backs.
