Hi Robin - I've got a place ready to keep your Silkie Boys before they travel down to live at Donnie's place. I hope they don't mind chatter. The chicks in the big brooder in the barn will talk until the lights are tuned off.

just had to share this pic, fresh off the camera- one of my special needs boys- enjoying sun for the first time

Mine have gone stingy on me too. All during the nastiest cold part of the snow storm, I was getting seven eggs out of 10 layers. Now I am getting four. And now is the time that I am really wanting the eggs, too.

Sorry to brag, but my girls have been little egg laying machines!!!! They started way earlier then I thought for their breed, the ones that started laid right through the cold and ice now the others are trying to catch up!!!

I work there part time as their Sports Producer. I have never gotten to go to anything really fun like a concert. I work the hockey games

, arena football and a few basketball games (hoping to be able to work with the Shock this year, but don't yet know if I'll get that). I do get to run the NCAA tournament days there this month, though. I like basketball.

Glad to see you have your own screen name. I bet the blue orphingtons will be beautiful. With that many coming, could you just get a rooster and hatch your own next year? Are you getting straight run or pullets only?
