Buster52 - I also hope it's just because of the widespread destruction of the infrastructure including communications... wishing for the best!

We got our girls trimmed today and also Ivomeced. Trimmed as we applied the Ivomec so we knew which ones had already been treated.

I noticed when we NPIP tested a few weeks ago that some of the nails on the chickens were really long, but it hadn't occurred to me prior to reading this that nail trimming should be a regular part of maintenance. I like the idea of doing the ivomec as the nails are trimmed - to help keep track of which ones have been treated. Thanks !!!!

Here in Henryetta the smoke is thick. I don't know where the fires are but I've heard sirens all day. I think there is a pretty big one to the west of us.

Thanks, Robin

I have two others that I don't have pics of yet, I was going to get some today, but staring at the fires on the live news feed stole my day away... I may try to get some after I get the ponies fed... which I'm gonna do RIGHT NOW... LOL
The two are the newest ones that replace one that died... isn't that how you do it... one dies, you get two more... rrright?

I thought everyone did this fun stuff, we have bathed, clipped nails and beaks, plucked tails for fertility for two days straight. We are both tired, but most of the birds are clean now, still have 6 pens to go. 100+ down and 50+ to go. I think one more day and we will have them all.
