Three eggs over medium (what my DD likes to call dippin eggs, cause she likes to dip her toast in the yolk!) sausage patties, toaste, OJ and coffee, when I get this down I gotta get morning chores done and start on my potatoe beds!!! Busy day today!!! Lynn

Sounds great, do you have a run on the coop? This coop sounds like it would comfortably house a half dozen hens and a rooster to me! More if you have a nice run to exercise them, allow about a foot of roost space per bird with a couple feet extra, some don't like to snuggle!!! Do you have a breed in mind? We all have lots of babies right now!! And Poops is coming up in May!!! Lynn

Hey does anyone have a really nice meaty type Naked Neck rooster they want to stud out in exchange for eggs or chicks, my four hens are laying one or two eggs a day now, they are older hens and I would like to raise some from them to replace them with next fall! I have NN chicks growing from Don(chickensnmore) but want some from my hens and I don't have a pure breed rooster!! I like blue but any color will work, just rather have a heavy type!
Hey Al I seen a really cool smoker/cooker build on "Killin and Grillin" (hog hunter show in SE Texas) it was basically a tin shed made of metal pipe and tin sheets about 8'x8'x6 feet high and they hung the hogs(90-1030lbs) from a pipe in the center and built the fire in the back center to reflect the heat and the smoke came out around the top edge where the tin is wavy around the eaves and they closed it up with sheets of tin with poles laid against them so you have access to the whole front to enter!!! Really was cool and easy to assemble(looked like) !!! Lynn

Sounds like you are going to have a great day! I wish I had time to get a garden in, my DH usually does it but we don't agree on how things should be done LOL. I have a feeling I will be spending so much time cleaning up from the build that I won't have time to take care of it anyways.

i honestly dont know exactly what kind i want right, i know i want brown eggs and have looked alot online and learned alot by reading. I always research everything to death!!! sometimes i get myself confused. dont have a run yet, still building the inside first. hubby is making the run 12x20 ( i think) i would have to ask him again. i just cant hardly wait. i get so excited and want to do everything all at once...i will sure want to go to the swap in may, are they going to be posted an advertisement or flyer?
