Genetically speaking is that where naked chickens come from, over achieving NN's? Does that happen very often from NN eggs?

Kass. I am not for sure if thats where they came from. I have never know one to crop out of NNs. The eggs Joe is setting are from a university lab so they may some special gene work going on!

these NN eggs are dobel domenat nacked gean so about one percent of the chicks will be naked if breed together i plan on using them for making other NN colors because even if you breed to a featherd bird all chicks will be naked necked DR keath has been breeding to the dobel domanat naked gean for several years now so when the naked traits overlap BINGO you have a naked bird

Lettuce is a cool weather plant, so it is only good in the spring and late fall, or early winter if you have a good hothouse or other shelter to keep away the cold. Pick it before the weather gets hot.

I don't generally know when that is. I just harvest as needed, but take a taste before harvesting. Once it starts to taste bitter, the season is over.

The term is bolting...this means that the lettuce plant begins to send up a flower stalk from the center of the rosette of leaves. You will notice this difference in the center about the same time as the lettuce begins to have a white sap when you break off or cut the leaves.
There are several varieties of lettuce that are slow to bolt in heat.

What is he?

Silkied Serama Cockerel...needs to get his tail back in...

Cute bird - I thought he might be Serama but his stance fooled me - the Seramas I've seen hardly have any back showing between their hackles and tails because their tails are straight up and their wings straight down. He sure looks like he has some personality!

He has a very good stance, I just couldnt get a good picture of him, and they get more upright as they mature...
