kool , glad you guys are enjoying them and they are doing their jobs well for you

They do their jobs very well. I couldnt ask for better gaurd dogs for my birds or my family. They are very even tempered and trained more as a family pet so they dont bother people that come over, except for attention. The only time they show aggression is if we feel threatened or we arent home and someone new shows up. The only quirk they have is they do not like people to walk in the yard. You can pull into the driveway and get out of your vehicle and everything is fine, but if you park on the side of the road and try to walk into the yard we have to tell them its ok otherwise they will meet you in the front yard growling.

yup they notice the difference of who belongs and who doesnt

It is! Last year the older male got sprayed right in the mouth. He ate dirt for 2 days trying to get the taste and smell to go away(it was funny to watch). I thought for sure he would have learned. I guess he was trying to break the 7 month old male from trying to do the same since he smells the strongest....LOL

Is the pair of dogs where the older one would lead the puppy over to the neighbors and try to leave him there? So very sorry - skunk is

Yes... If the oldest doesnt like the pup he leads them far enough away then runs home. But this pup seems to be ok with Zues(our oldest), he is going on 8 months soon and the 2 dogs are already learning how to hunt together. its funny to see how much Zues is teaching Bear(the youngest) and how much is natural instinct. When someone pulls into the drive usually Zues comes from one side of the house and Bear comes from the other side. The have learned how to split up to come from both directions. I think this puppy will be just as good at protect the birds as his father. But he is going to be larger than Zues.

He's not bad Matt. He could use being more vertical in his wings and breast but he is at least good to work with. the only problem I see with crossing him is trying to get the white lacing back.
