*** OKIES in the BYC ***

I have to admit that frostbitten combs is one reason I prefer birds with peacombs. Of course, as I am thinking about it, I think there are a few roos with large peacombs that have black spots on the edges. Silly roosters. They need to tuck their head under their wings like the hens do - and they won't be as likely to get frostbite.

LOL, no worries P&B, I was just laughing at us because our first post are about the title. So who is the math whiz that will figure out when we will hit X number of post for the contest? That makes me remember that the BYC had one not long ago, who won it or has anyone won yet????

Yes, the BYC contest to hit 5 million posts was met in early January. I had guessed the end of February, just because it was my son's birthday so I was at least 6 weeks too late in my guess.

my head hen is a RIR, and she seems so far the only one that has issues- she is an ornery girl! I worry a little about the cochin banty roo, when its real cold his comb turns dark dark red-

You seem to be able to handle your more than I can mine so if you can catch them put some on, it won't hurt anything! Mine roost too high & it is even hard to get them there.
