Thanks Donnie . I live in the Mcalester area and at the present time i dont have any chickens .. I was raised having chickens most of my life until the last few years when work and kids and all that stuff seemed to take up all my time but now things are slowing down some i want to get some. I live in the country and always have . I enjoy having chickens around to eat the bugs and ticks in the spring.. I plan on getting a mixed group of brown egg layers to start with except for a few ameraucanas to brighten up the egg basket.. 5 RIR, 5 Black Australorps, 5 Dominiques, 10 Red Sex Links and a couple of roosters.. At least thats my plan..lol

I will buy baby chicks as there is a hatchery up the road about 30 miles from me . I plan on hatching some later on but have to get a new bator as i gave mine away several years ago.. what would you recommend fir a good bator that dont cost an arm and a leg.. the one i had was the old metal round type but i dont see them anymore..

Just for the record I am going with the Green Bay Packers today, I am with Buster and Don on this one. They beat my team, They are in my division, They are the oldest NFL team, They have great fan's, They are tough as nails, and they have plenty of class, And lastly the best coach ever was their coach by the way it's his name on the super bowl trophy. The only bad thing about today's game is they are playing in the worst place in the NFL as far as football goes.

Kathy : I hope you are enjoying your new adopted home. We are Glad to have you contributing, you will find we have some very knowledgable and dedicated breeders here, we probably hatch more chicks in our thread than the entire BYC put together and we just so happen to be a great bunch of Auction nut's LOL, we have weekly get togethers at auctions and even have our own reserved table's LOL.
