Wow! We went to the Fletcher auction tonight and were amazed to see so many people there. We were pleasantly suprised at the turnout and the prices. Best of all, we were able to visit with so many BYC Okies!!!! It was almost like a mini POOPS! When the auction ended, some of us that stayed til the end stopped off at Trivetts in Elgin for a late night dinner that was excellent. We had a most enjoyable Saturday night.

WHAT A NIGHT! WHAT A GREAT SALE! WHAT GREAT PRICES! WHAT GREAT FOLKS!

Thanks to everyone who came to the sale tonight. Sorry if I missed visiting with anyone tonight! I was a busy chick tonight!
I was everywhere !

Was glad to see everyone there though! WE have gotten bigger and bigger. We are looking for more chairs and tables for our sale. If anyone knows of any that I might
could purchase, let me know. Our bleachers and chairs were full and it was still standing room only.

Hope everyone had a great time tonight, I know although I was busy and I was tired, I had a great time.

Talk to you guys tomorrow!

How do you always seem to be the first one to post every day?

(not counting when someone like MMpoultry is up fighting owls and posts before he tries to go back to bed!).

Good Morning

I have to be at work at 5:00 am and usually get up around 3:45 weekdays and can't sleep in on the weekends. I catch up on what is going on in the mornings.

Awoke at around 2:30 this morning with the sudden news flash that I have to do some major downsizing very soon! The February Chupps auction was cancelled, and the March one is the same day as the Pryor show. Plans to bring silkies and showgirls to Pryor and then POOPS just won't do what needs to be done. My late fall/winter babes are growing very fast and crowding their quarters. I'll make good prices on birds from excellent bloodlines starting now, if anyone is interested. This includes blacks, a few blues, a couple of whites, some silver partridges, some from my porcelain project, and some lavender (self blues). Some are adults, and most are 2010 hatches. Please PM me if you're interested.

morning folks!! can't encourage everyone enough to take betsy's offer!! her birds are gorgeous! check flo out- course i trimmed her topknot- but i think she is just incredible!

Good Morning everyone! Glad you guys had a good time at the auction!
Makes the rest of us jealous! I can't wait till next weekend, I will make
the Blanchard one. I hope to see lots of peeps there.

I think we have a chance of rain today but I hope it misses us, my pens
are just starting to dry.

Donnie - Your inbox is full. It's the Delaware hens I've sold. I have three Speckled Sussex hens in with my meat birds. They're big girls and I am without a Speckled Sussex roo right now, and DH wouldn't let me take your Speckled Man back do to our history.

I'm going to get in touch with a friend in Kansas after church today. She doesn't have any extra hens right now: I remember that from the last time we talked. She may have an extra cockerel or two, so I'm going to ask her about those. Also, she may have had a hatch or two of chicks. She's really good at telling what sex they are, so maybe she has some that are 90% sure pullets. If you're interested, I can ask about them and pick them up when I pick up a roo from her... All this depends on her stock. I will PM you after church with whatever news I've had from her. Clear some space in your inbox.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Sooner, but auctionlover Jerry tells me next week's Blanchard is canceled due to a conflicting 4H event. It will be back to it's regular schedule next month, though.

OH No you have ruined my whole trip!!!!!! I guess I need to go see if there are any other auctions on that date huh?
I can't change my weekend because I have other things that I have to attend.
