speaking of duckwings i forgot to catch that stupid golden duckwing this evening...stupid bird tore through his pen...

Remember that confused or overly amorous rooster I have...well he is still carrying on with the ducks....now he is taking down the drakes! that poor dude look so helpless and confused I kicked that stupid rooster off and yelled at him...might have to do something else with him

Here's our little aquaponics set up.

I first started with a seed starter. I wanted to make sure I got the logistics of it down on a smaller scale before I went whole hog and filled my koi pond with catfish:

Here are the grow trays. We've got 3 rubbermaid tubs on a table filled with pea gravel. This table slants slightly forward and to the left. The PVC contraption on the top is my strawberry tower (also filled with pea gravel). The water inputs at the top middle of the strawberry tower using a medium sized fountain pump. I've had it for so long I can't recall how many GPH it runs.

After the water pumps into the top it's diverted left and right (by a cleverly placed piece of flagstone).

The two end pieces of PVC are for stability and attached to the legs of the table. They are sealed off with a heavy blue rubber/plastic (kind of like a thinner pond liner). The middle 3 PVC pipes have netting to keep the pebbles from going down the tubes, but allowing the water to drain to the tubs.

Once the water gets to the tubs it immediately heads to the bottom left (hence the slant). All the tubs are connected at the bottom using pump hose. The output on the far left gravity feeds directly back into a waterfall.

Wayne - you would be amazed at the things you don't have to explain. They figure thing sout and have much better reasons. I do't know where I am gonna get a rooster glasses or how i am gonna get him to keep them on but apparently that is one answer...if oly they had ears...well the top part that glasses hang on...

they also said soemthing about is that what poppy means when he says takes all kinds of folks?

I think if those two go camping...they just refer to it as returned home! They could pass as mountain men! If they go fishing I wonder if they use poles or just swat the fish out of the river?
