Good Morning Everyone!
What a beautiful morning!
I work for Morris Schools and today is our last day before Spring Break.

Hope the weather stays this beautiful next week as I have a new coop to build for my super fast growing baby chicks!
I have a question since I am new to all of this. Are the birds that are sold at auction usually good quality birds or do they tend to be culls, etc? My husband and I have been wanting to go to one. Any suggestions for auctions near my area? How do I know what dates they are held? What are things to beware of?

Terrible about the quake. No telling how many lives are lost,proably will never know. Strange,my wife was at a meeting for the disaster group in her work area yeaterday and they were discussing quakes! Apparently the word is that "when" it happens here its going to take out large areas with the maderis fault and over here it will connect with the walbash fault.She said it was awesome what they expect to happen. Scary. Makes you want to gather all family in one area. Unfortunately ours is from coast to coast!

Auctions are hit and miss, sometimes you can get some really great birds and sometimes it won't be worth the trip (excepting the social aspect

). Most folk here have generally found something they wanted, even if they didn't know they wanted it going in!
