I doubt too many will frown in this forum. I, like you, am not a breeder, don't think I ever will be, mostly just want a colorful egg basket and a colorful flock. Some members here are more serious breeders but when you get down to it, I think everyone is just a lover of chickens.

There is a 12 room Budget Inn in Cryril about 6 miles or 5 minutes away, they should have some rooms if you make an early reservation. There are quite a few in Lawton that are nice and right on Hwy 44, then if your coming from the north you could stay in Chicasha where there are plenty also.

I will be there all day on Friday getting things started and set-up and I am hoping to have some folks join me to help with decorations and any heavy lifting if need be.

thanks! we bought one of the starfoam forced air ones with an auto turner. i was excited and didn't want to have to wait long. so i did research and waited two days. Got 11 fresh eggs and 30 that had been in the icebox for 2-3 days (brought up to room temp for 2 days) and we got 22 out of that hatching. the second one we got 32 out of 41 all fresh eggs. not too bad IMO for a first timer

I miss them).

We had two EE's, but a neighbor dog got them i do need to replace... i got one hatched but i'm scared it's a rooster. i already have too many roosters.

I myself am a breeder and I still keep a mix flock for egg layers of a multitude of colors in eggs and feathers
