Evening P&B ,,did you have a great day? How are things in OKC? We are expecting another storm line about 4am!

So Cit how many turken pullets did you take home!

Not sure what brahma tail feathers are, but I quite sure it is a too regardless of those on that thread that think it's a hen. Still laughing at myself over it. Sending a text to friend saying that I want to trade that one in because it spent lay lol

Since honeybees like the same nectar sources that attract hummingbirds, it will be a challenge to keep honeybees away from the feeder if they are needing a source of sugar/nectar. If there is any odor to the sugar water, like vanilla or peppermint, that will atract the honeybees. You might try mixing the sugar water without added fragerance and then move the feeder for a few days to lose the bees. Depending on the time of year, beekeepers feed their hives sugar water. 1:1 or 2:1 sugar to water, depending on whether the beekeeper wants to encourage wax foundation making or feed the bees and help them make "honey" for the winter.

I think some roosters take longer to mature than others. I periodically take my extra roos to Michael and lo and behold, I saw another roo in the laying flock today. Either I didn't recognize it as a roo until after all the competition was removed, or someone is tossing roos over the fence into my backyard.

Your address is written on bathroom walls at poultry auctions across the state as a place for unwanted roo's!

Some folks acquire "walk up" dogs and cats. I seem to attract dumped roos.

Do you shear llamas or just sheep?

If you shear llamas I will chicks, eggs and roos for shearing. I have two boys and they look really bad after I get a hold of them but at least they are cool.

The new washers are designed for "planned obselesence. They can't be repaired nearly as many times as the old ones. We had one for 18+ years (it was gold colored) and had it repaired annually for the last 5 years. The repair man always said "they don't make them like this anymore"
The next two washing machines lasted 8 years and 5 years respectively. I loved the last washer, but the braces on the tub broke and couldn't be repaired. We now have a front loader and I like it, but don't feel optimistic that it will last any 15 years.

i'm not sure if it has scent or not... i'll ask tomorrow... not sure what kinda bees it is. she has a big pretty flower garden in the same spot, and a few of them was messed up after the storm the other day, so maybe it's a fluke? i'll mention the scent to her. she had said something about moving it so she can at lest get off her front porch. she's a bit allergic to bees. thanks for the info
