Cayuse Ranch - didn't you acquire some poultry for yourself the last time your hubby went hunting?

More funny, funny, funny!
After spending lots of time with my cochins when I see those birds I want to knit them a scarf and sweater!

Do chicks, especially bantam chicks, count a a whole chicken? Because if they do after Sunday's hatch I now have 70 chickens!!!!!!!!

I ask DH how many chickens he thinks I have and by the time he finally guessed 70 his eyes were as big as saucers.
I have 18 "adults" 9 partridge cochin chicks and 43 mille fleurs cochin chicks. My three mille fleur pullets lay an average of 12 eggs a week and the fertility rate is very good. Something tells me it isn't always like this. I am just glad for my luck.
