He, he, he! He looks like a dandy!
I can't even see the spurs on my cochin roos, too much fluff!

yep- my captain has spurs, but i have to wade through the feathers to find them! he is an amazing guy! and i am so glad Cuban had him to give me! I was working in the run and he got all excited about my cell phone and started calling the girls over- he really is so serious and i am laughing at him and he turns and gives me a stink eye!

I love his coloring! BSL males, as far as first generations go, carry a barring gene. I haven't experimented with crossing them but I imagine it's possible to get a non-barred out of the second generation. He reminds me of some of the marans I've raised, as far as body shape and feather type.

Morning Okie Peeps!

Sorry I fell asleep on you guys! My DS woke me up, I had the laptop still in my lap & sound asleep!

Guess that is one way to get to bed earlier.

Good morning all! I missed a few days looking at the conversations - way too much to catch up on, so starting fresh again today.

Put my four 2-month old girls out in their new pen the day before yesterday. They're becoming accustomed to it, but the older gals aren't liking much. They sure checked out the new ones and squawked a lot. My Minorca had the biggest fit, well, she's still having fits about it. I was carrying some things into the house, left the door open behind me, and she followed me inside carrying on like nobody's business! LOL Guess it will take some time for her to settle down. She didn't give me an egg yesterday, though.

I hear tell we've got a shot at some rain this week. Woo hoo!

Edited to correct a misspelled word.

He is beautiful! I have seven cochin roos. They are all good at calling their girls over to anything that might be good. I just adore them. I recognize alot of their individual crows.
Sunday one of my 14 week ond pullets caught a little garden snake, about 8 inches long. It was hilarious watching the chase. She was pretty good at the evasive manuvers but Idon't know who actually got to eat it.
