If you want to call driving home in an empty Magic Poultry Van "simple".

Actually, we weren't in the Magic Poultry Van and you should have seen the look of realization pass over Dean's face after he won the bid on two rolls of wire fence. Although both Gerald and Carl offered to deliver it for us, he insisted that it would go into the trunk of the car - which it did - except the trunk was wide open and couldn't begin to close. Fortunately, AL had something that we could use to tie the trunk down and like a couple of Grapes of Wrath Okies we drove home ~ with the trunk lid wired to keep it from flapping.

LOL Lynn! I have had that happen to me but I think it was people food I was shopping for!

Great pictures!

The neighbors culvert had washed away. So far we just have little rivers running everywhere!

I'm watching dual survivor, it's pretty cool.

Aww, wish I would have went last night. Was hoping to bring the hubby by today but decided not to with all the rain, maybe some weeknight. I really wanted to see those cochins. I do have a feeling you will be coming home to a boat soon though lol

We have hail!!!! And can't see the barn which is about 100 ft away..
I love Okiehoma what ever the weather is, cause you can wait just a little while and it's sure to change.

Very fitting the last egg to hatch this Easter day was an Easter Egger!
Birds fared well today despite all the moisture.Guniea pigs weren't happy because they didn't get to go out and graze so I pulled a bunch of weeds and grass for them. They aren't picky just as long as its green and fresh! Put my new seramas in the loft floor with the biggets baby chicks, maybe they will herd them around,my last silkie hen is with them so hopefully they will make one big happy family after a day or so. I am really likeing the seramas. May have to invest in some more but proably won't find many at the price they cost me. A whole $14!
I had one of the silver spangled hamburg eggs that I got at the Amish sale three weeks ago hatch! Its the standard size, hope its a hen!lol.
Looks like more storms just north of us. We are right on the fringe of them.

got some interesting hatches goin on, have a blue spangled cock over spangled hens, so far I have hatched some spangle babies, some blue spangle babies, and a solid blue or black baby, kind of surprising...

checking in, we had to bring the banties in and guinea girl(her run is under water), the roof in the little coop is a sieve- so in the back bedroom it like a barn with all the cages and such, almost finished reworking the inside of the big coop- before i took the higher supports down yesterday, i had some rebels insist on sleeping up high-

Ok, so we are gonna have at least one brooder, one hatcher, and probably a few modern game bantam babies to bring to poops...the hatcher is very nice, vintage cedar....might have a stacked brooder, havent decided whether we want to finish it out and use it, ro just sell it as we arent gettin enough chicks hatched to fill it....

Good evening!

Happy Easter everyone!

Didn't have time to check in this morning because we had our Easter celebration at home...

Went to my family Easter lunch and egg hunt (first one without my Dad, he died last September, we really missed him and his smiling face)...

And then back home to visit Granny at the nursing home and take her an Easter flower....

Then to take care of the animals in the pouring rain and standing water and made dinner...

All I can say at this point is thank you Lord for our blessings!
