Good morning okie's! Finally lost the internet last night, I was to lazy to re-set the router so I just went to bed!! Looks like another full day of rain here! I think I will wear my rubber boots to work.

Everyone have a great Monday!!!!

REMEMBER T SHIRT ORDERS GO IN THIS WEEK!!!

Morning early birds! All my friends on facebook are chattering about the flood waters!(Over near the Ark. Line) saying it's the worst since. 1992! So please be careful with water on the roads.
We are due more for the next three od four days!
I have to do some work on our drive way today and get some more nest boxes made. All these broodys are taking over everything I have!

Morning Okies - We're flooded in! Had the unhappy chore of calling my principal to ask for a sub. Can't get out in any direction. North: Tree over washed out concrete bridge...road erased for about 2 feet before edge of bridge is visible. South: At least 4 feet of water where road dips... ponds on either side of the road have made one nice big lake... wonder if that's how stocked fish migrate from pond to pond???. West: Concrete bridge under water. No visible landmarks to determine how deep the water is. East: Intersection to go east is under water. Judging from where the water hits the trees, it's about four feet deep. Sooner - You're our closest neighbor. Be careful if you have to go out.

Everyone drive safe today. No matter how much you think you need to get to the other side, Don't Drive Through High Water. We lose too many okies that way.

Poco glad you didn't take any chances!!! I won't take any either, I will have my kids in the car & won't be taking on any high water. Won't hurt my feelings if I get to stay home another day. We are due more rain today! I hope the water goes down for you!! Do you have everything you need?

Thanks, Sooner. Yes. We have food for ourselves and for the animals. I'm moving Vesta to the front yard to spend the day with Conner. The area she has been watching around the barn is under two inches of water, and I want her to have a chance to dry out. She doesn't seem to notice, but it can't be comfortable to be that wet. Our front yard is under water in places, but the front and side porches are dry, and there are a few high spots under some trees where she and Conner can wander around.

That is a huge amount of water. Okahoma - feast or famine on the precipitation.
Saw a show called Planet People on Discovery - where the villagers were fishing a football field sized area of water with fishing baskets. They cleaned out all the fish and the moderator indicated that when the rainy season came, the pond would be restocked when the pond and a nearby river became one body of water.

morning guys- news says we had 7 inches yesterday and more coming- glad we don't need to go anywhere! will try to section off part of the big coop so i can get the banties out of the house-

so has everyone checked in???

the distance means nothing, i ordered from ideal in texas, they went through PENNSYLVANIA before they got here...another one I dont understand, I ordered some birds from a guy in missouri, he is in far southwest missouri, barely over the line and I am half an hour from OKC...they went from his post office to springfield, to kansas city, to tulsa, to oklahoma city, to shawnee and then finally to my town...there was another town in there but dont remember...the postal service makes no sense to me...

Got game that is so true, if I mail a letter or anything to someone in my own town it goes to Tulsa then comes back here.

POCO, glad you have everything that you need. Everything was good in town, no water on the roads. Our neighbor's culvert washed out & down the road. Wish I had thought to let them use my car this morning she had out paitent surgery that she most likely had to put off.

Same here on the mail. I had a cery important, timewise letter about the new property that was mailed in Ok. in Jan. It arrived here in April!

Sooner be sure and plant some clematis vines around your new place! Slow growing and sometimes difficult to start but great flower power.

Our rain has started again. Got some stuff done and all the animals checked and took some flower pics. Banded 5 new baby pigeons this morning. Moved another handful out of the house and into the shed and from the shed into the loftarea. I rotate them as they grow and feather so nobody does any walking on the little ones.
Okay please indulge me for pic time.
