well, had a deal fall through apparently, looks like I still have 1 pair of lemon blue moderns and 1 brown red hen still here I am gonna let go of....figured I would put it on here before I did the craigslist thing or the auction thing...
This is my first flock in a few years. The only one that i have had in city limits, but it is okay to do in my town, Thank goodness! I was missing my birdies! That being said its also my smallest, tamest, most spoiled flock.
Here I go...
The Ladies-
Ginger- RIR
NayNay- black silkie cross
Mo- black polish with white top
Farrah- Buff ameracauna
Denny-(display pic is her as a chick) Partridge Silkie, our fav...Shes our baby and is usually carried all around the place by either me or the kids and the only one to come to her name, she takes weekly trips to my daughters pre-k class as well (sometimes the roos go w her too)
The guys-
Roody- Bearded Blue splash (im pretty sure) Silkie
Tidie- White silkie
I would like to trade one of my roos or give him to a very very good home. These guys are all about four mo old.....the roosters still dont crow. They are pretty much pansies! we spoiled them too much. LOL
I plan on later in the year, for the first time, not using an incubator, but instead using Denny and possibly Nay Nay to hatch some babies and im very excited about the variety ill see! Most will be full silkie.
Would a silkie roo X ameracauna make an EE? Will I just need to try it and find out?
Here's my humble coop, it extends back behind the swing set and is completely enclosed since our neighbor is a cat lady, and id feel awful is something ever happened to them! This is from a window in my house, i watch them every morning, but the rain weather has them hiding in their coop. If you look closely you can see Mo's white head.
Denny (she loves the camera)
Heres a few in this pic hiding from the rain...Tidie..in true pansy fasion hiding behind the ladies!
Looks like the BYC service to the site is finished.
Am amazed at the photos of both flowers and floods!
Hope everyone is okay and staying dry.
Welcome to our newby.
