Got all of ours moved to the next brooder and cages earlier, had to make room for last nights hatch. It is so much easier now that the weather is warmer it is a real chore in the winter.

Welcome to all the new folks, good to see the hobby is still gaining steam.

Nana, if you need any help just call, I assume your husband is still restricted a bit and want you to know you can call if you ever need a hand.

Thanks Stephanie. That's really sweet of you to offer. Roger is doing better although the pain is a killer...3rd week out and he is finally able to swallow regular soft cooked foods and is reducing the pain meds. We were on a two hour schedule...and thankfully...the light at the end of the tunnel is NOT another train.

My DW Laura is quite displeased with me tonight, at least I know why this time heheheheheee.

After my last hatch of 60+ she proudly & loudly proclaimed that no more chickens will be allowed in the house, I have my Bator and tub brooders sharing my DD computer room at the other end of the house. well she doesn't like the dust and constant chirping 60 chicks make all day long. So after I moved the last batch os 2 wk olds out side she quickly got the room back in tip top shape and smelling like rose. Well today she caught me setting 2 doz more of my White Cornish eggs, and well let's just say it wasn't purdy LOL. So the only plan she will go for is as soon as they hatch they get left in the hatching tray until everybody is out os the shells and then they all are to go outside at once. I do have several area's set-up in the big coop for about 2-300 little brooder chicks. At least I can continue to hatch and she will be happy that she doesn't have chicks in the house. I can't say I blame her during hatching season it seems like they are always allot of chicks in that room constantly, So I compromised the trick to a long happy marriage LOL.

Hi all, Just added a fan to my LG and set eggs, will see in 21 days if it helps. Two broodies on eggs and more in my new incubator, hopefully in three weeks I'll have chicks running uot of my ears.

The rain guage at work showed 2 1/2 inches of rain yesterday, mostly light rain all day long exactly what we needed. But now I'll have to fire up the mower, It hasn't been started since early November.

Good job Al! I have another hen hatching tonight so I will be putting more chicks in my bathroom brooder tomorrow. I just took out a bunch this morning, It seems to stay about 30-40 in there and I can't gain any ground! Oh well I love and as long as we don't have company we will be good!
