Getting ready to get caught up on the forum, but have been meaning to ask, about how late will POOPS be going on?

It starts at 8:00am and will go as late as we want it to, we are not restricted this year on a time frame. Some folks such as myself and others will be there on friday all day setting up, and some even hang around for awhile on Sunday morning. So I guess the rule is come early stay late and have a blast.

Ugh. We are. Tulsa is getting pounded. Go look at KOTV's radar. It. Is. Never. Going. To. Stop.

It never did stop. So I left this morning and drove down to TX. The rain chased me much of the way. My wonderful blessing of a second father, Tom, is in the hospital here in Denton. My brother and his wife flew in from D.C. last night. We sent Mom home tonight to get some rest - she has been here for 8 days. It is my privilege to stay in our Tom's room with him tonight. He drifts in and out of lucidity. Thankfully he is sleeping now, and I hope he can sleep most of the night, although with people coming in every 2 hours to poke him, I don't know how much rest he'll really get. My mom said yesterday she thought she heard him talking to someone, and when she asked if he needed anything, he said he was talking to the Master. When visitors ask if they can do anything, he often asks for prayer - so if you would, please pray for Tom's peaceful passage to his real Home.

Come on! I can cook things in a crock pot. Put meat in pot with veggies and liquid, turn crock pot on low. Return in eight hours. Done. It works with ribs in a little BBQ sauce. I can make iced tea!

Beth what was that exotic dish you made for the first POOPS, I can't recall the name again, but I know it sounded cool.

AL

Tabouli salad - it's bulgar wheat and a bunch of chopped up veggies in it. I like to make it because you can put all kinds of stuff in it and it's still good.

Aww so sorry City for the difficult times. Prayers for a peaceful end if it must come. Thats also a been there done that. I know personaly how hard it is to sit and watch and wait. God bless you all.

Cayuse,my chickens have never bothered mine when they were out free rangeing. But they are slow growing and stay close to the ground for the first year or two ,you would need small mesh(1/4 inch) between it and the birds or they would reach through and peck it to death. Of course that applys to just about any plany. The mesh needs to be at least two feet high.

Yeah That's it !!!!! TABOULI !!!! if I recall it had some other ingredience of questionable origins, and cooked over an open fire in a black Caldron, and was stirred by an army of native Dancing girls LOL.

Sorry Six did we not answer your question? Don't worry it wasn't out of place we just sometimes get involved in personal conversations, forgetting there are other people talking. We don't purposely ignore anyone, jsut sometimes things get lost in the shuffle! If I don't get a response I wait a while and ask again. The crowd is always changing so maybe someone different has an answer. Poops isnb't our only topic ,its just something we are really excited about because its like a family reunion of long lost friends and relatives.
