the mail lady arrived today while i was cleaning out brooders.
i looked like the "Wild Woman Of Borneo" of course. seriously, i have peacock poo all over my pink shirt.
she had this lovely package with her from Kentucky....
the kids and i opened it all up...
bread, banana nut bread, cherry syrup, sweet apple cider butter and snow ball cookies!
and a beautiful handmade note in a vellum envelope from Ol Fashioned Hen! secretly, i believe she practices handwriting all the time. it is most elegant!
thank you OFH! i am so grateful to you. as your letter asked, yes i am recovering well (the shingles are almost completely gone and i am done with the UTI!) and we are in excellent spirits here. thank you for this blessing. the children immediately had to try a little of everything. my husband is excited to come home from work to try the apple butter. one of his favorite food. we cannot thank you enough.
