Hi, First post but now that I have read all 40 pages I think I should tell about mine.
I have wanted chickens for years and just decided it was now or never.I had an old 8 x10 aluminum pre fab sheds in the back yard. So I cleaned it out (just stuff) and decided it would be perfect and it was until I found a few leaks,got those fixed (I thought). I spread a tarp on the floor Put an inch or two of pine shavings on the floor fixed up a roost, used a tree branch and went and bought 2 12 week old pullets.Everything was fine until the walnuts from the walnut tree in the neighbors yard started to come down.That really makes a heck of a noise on an aluminum roof! Had to fix fix that. Put sheets of styrofoam on it That cured the noise and the leaks.Well so far so good. Had a neighbor com over and put a window in and all is well.
