Hello,

I am new to raising chickens and a friend I know, her son has and old chicken coop he no longer uses so he gave it to me. My question is what is the best way or best product to use to sanitize it or does that need to be done. It is all wood and has not been used in years. I took it apart and used the wood to build a "new" coop. The nesting boxes are made of metal. I don't know the history of the flock that was in the coop before. I would not want my chickens to catch anything.

Thanks
Mraya

:frow ACV is what i have heard is the better thing to use - you can dilute it and spray and rinse.

Likely those with experience with similar issues will show up with more advice.

Also you can search the topic and review some of the past discussions about the same concern.
