Been raising chickens most of my 71 yrs of life, starting with my granny when I was age 7. Have seen a lot of breeds come and go. Like trying new crosses and purchased 3 Tetra's brown on March 7 this year and was researching them and decided to look in BYC for any answers. These pullets has amazed me as one started laying on June the 15 and as of today, July 1st has laid 13 eggs. This is an absolute first for me to have a breed lay so young. They look like a red sex link but a smaller trimmer body like a leghorn. Her eggs is as dark as a marans that I use to raise. Very pleased. Now curious to see if her production holds. I have several breeds and a total of about 30 birds. Looking forward to this site!
