Wow, TEN years old?!

I hope that my hens live to be that old. I can't believe she even laid an egg. Does she know she can retire eventually?

We had two chicken a barred rock hen and a cochin rooster who were mates and grew up together sadly last spring she died at 7 and he was down in the dumps for a couple of weeks but he is great now he did get lowered in the pecking order from top rooster to bottom rooster he will be 8 this spring! I believe she laid and eggs or more a week i always seen her laying on saturday though
