Old coop-new chickens

I refreshed my flock of 4. Sent my hold hens to a family for pets and got 4 new coop-ready birds. The new birds use the nest boxes, but at night they stay in the run. They don’t use the nice warm straw-filled coop as the others did. It’s not too cold here so no harm, just wondering why.
Any thoughts?
