Old coop set up

Hello all,
We moved to a house that has a 8 x 16 chicken coop that was used as a wood shed for the last 4+ years. There is no mess from the previous chicken inhabitants other than droppings on the rafters. The nesting box’s and roost were all removed. I am planing on doing a thorough cleaning to remove spiderwebs, bugs and dust.
My question is...do I need to disinfect the space?

I don't think you need to try to disinfect it. It has been years since chickens used it.

If you don't want yours rafter roosting some chicken wire on the bottom of the rafters is enough to keep them out of there.
