Old dogs

He's on medicine for his arthritis, heartworms (he's a rescue and our vet said he wouldn't survive the treatment), and his senior vitamins. Before all the meds he would poot but not like this. They are loud and deadly. And then he looks at us like we did it!

Our pup doesn't have the toots, thank goodness. He does however burp alot. Silly thing is, he'll come running up to the closest human like he really needs something. The human says "what is it, boy?" And he burps in your face, every time!

How about the other end? I have a 14 yr old Pom with rotten teeth. When (or if) she hears us come home, she starts barking/yapping in the entryway til I turn the key and get inside. When I bend down to pat her my head moves into the "bad doggie breath" area phaaff! Does that stink!

I'll take her farts anytime.

We have a chihuahua that when he snaps at you (he's 16 and is nothing short of an old grump) you can smell it, but we don't want to put him under anestesia (sp?). It's crazy!

When I initially took my hound to the vet for her foot on the way she climbed into the back seat and ripped a silent but deadly. I seriously thought she had pooped. Of course it was freezing cold out but that was better than her stink.

This cracks me up. Our pup is a burper too. He scarfs his food down and as soon as he's done he lets a real good burp out.

You might want to try some yogurt for his gas. Maybe the meds have his belly out of wack. I had one that would look behind himself when he tooted and then get up and leave the room.

My SIL's dog (lab mix of some kind) is so goofy... his farts scare him! He whirls around in a panic because he thinks someone snuck up on him. "Who sat on the duck?"

Then of course you have our sweet little angels. You'll be on the couch reading with a dog or two on the cushion behind your head, then you hear this tiny *pooh* of air noise... then you find yourself at the other end of the house with no idea how you got there. BLUH!

When DH and I were dating, my dog Blaze liked to sleep at the foot of the bed. DH spent the night (a hot summer night) and we had the fan on, blowing on us. Blaze farted in the middle of the night and the fan blew the smell right over to us. DH was NOT happy

Do old dogs shed more than younger dogs? I'm surprised Blaze has any hair left

My old dog is scared of her own toots!
