I do, as a matter of fact! Thanks for the tag.@Yard Farmer, don’t you breed OEGB?
The old English in question is a fawn silver Duckwing. This is Dartanian an oeg bantam what color do you see? Chocolate? Lavender? Do do you think I should breed him with White Oeg? Or with silver? Wat would you mix this fella with?View attachment 4074238View attachment 4074239View attachment 4074243
Thank you so much, I have the opportunity to get a kiki Rikki silver hen who is 13 ozs ..... So I'm kinda experimenting. I do have a question about genetics ... If I breed him to a silver hen, will I get mostly silver offspring or is it similar to splash chickens? I.E would I get any percentage of his color in he offspring? Or will it be like a surprise box? Which I'm okay with, I breed Black Sumatra and phoniex so bantams are a whole new project but they are so friendly! And I feel in love (Aka, chicken math) Again thanks for any input you may have and to all who've responded thank you dawn is where I was too but the sizes are whas so awesome!I do, as a matter of fact! Thanks for the tag.

I would breed him to either a fawn silver hen, or a silver Duckwing hen. Or, if you get lucky/want to go crazy, you can find a fawn Duckwing sport to breed him to.
All three pairings would/could give you really nice birds.
Dun works like blue genetics. Dun (fawn) silver duckwing bred to silver duckwing will give you fifty percent dun silver duckwings and fifty percent silver duckwings.Thank you so much, I have the opportunity to get a kiki Rikki silver hen who is 13 ozs ..... Yes, a lot of Old English are too small. They shouldn't really be much smaller than a d'Anvers bantam.Isn't standard 20-24 for roos?
Like @Amer said: If you breed fawn silver to silver you'll get 50/50 splits on the offsprings color. You might get 1% or 2% will sport out as well.Thank you so much, I have the opportunity to get a kiki Rikki silver hen who is 13 ozs ..... So I'm kinda experimenting. That’s exactly why I was asking about kiki s and then learned they had no standard and a reputable and very seasoned breeder NEEDS a standard!! I am. Thinking. A silver hen. Is in his. Future!Like @Amer said: If you breed fawn silver to silver you'll get 50/50 splits on the offsprings color. You might get 1% or 2% will sport out as well.
Also, just personal opinion, I would stay away from Kikirikis if you're trying to breed OEGB, Kikirikis here are just no standard mutts. But, if that's something you don't care about (breeding true OEGB), by all means start out with the Kikirikis and see what you get!
Just wanted to give you a heads up.![]()
